Personnel from Infantry Training Centre Catterick tested their mettle as they hit the Alps for a demanding AT outing.
Exercise Northern Bavaria Adventure saw some 30 troops tackle activities from rock climbing to kayaking amid the spectacular scenery of southern Germany.
Organised by the Gurkha Training Company, the exped also involved hill walking in neighbouring Austria, as well as klettersteig climbing activities. The nine-day package pushed the participants well outside of the comfort zone – allowing them to try a host of new pursuits in an unfamiliar environment.
